Beatrice PHILLIPE’s grandmother, Irma BRUNSCHWIG, was born in Lausanne in the late 19th century. As can be seen below, the BRUNSCHWIGs of Blotzheim, the HAUSERs and the LANGs of Durmenach, the METZGERs of Thann and the PIQUARDs and BERNARDs of Foussemagne appear in her genealogy chart.
Thus, one understands a little better Beatrice PHILIPPE’s attachment for this village and the enthusiasm she shows in the conduct of the Association “Les Amis du Musée de Foussemagne” and in designing and implementing the scenography of this future museum, as well.
